On August 15, Chargé d’Affaires Amy Carlon met with the twenty Azerbaijani high-school students who will be spending a year studying at a U.S. high school and living with an American family as part of the 2025-2026 FLEX scholarship program. She also met with FLEX alumni who returned to Azerbaijan this summer. Programs like FLEX build people-to-people ties and lasting relationships between the United States and Azerbaijan, and highlight American achievements and the benefits of a U.S. education to Azerbaijani students. This year’s students will be living across the USA, from California to New Jersey, and from North Dakota to Louisiana.
