Division Services
The Building and Safety Division is a part of the Economic and Community Development Department.
The Building Division regulates construction and occupancy of all residential, commercial, and industrial buildings in order to ensure structural, life, fire, and health safety. Some of those services include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Checks all proposed construction projects, including additions and alterations to existing buildings
- Inspects all new construction, additions, structural alterations, and demolitions
- Provides the general public with basic construction information and calculation of fees
- Issues building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and demolition permits

The City of Azusa Building Division is committed to providing the citizens of Azusa with efficient and courteous services, with the goal of improving the quality of life through the enforcement of state and local building codes.
