WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Representative Ami Bera, M.D. (CA-06) released the following statement after House Republicans added restrictive voting provisions to a bill on congressional stock trading:
“I strongly support a stock trading ban. I have cosponsored two comprehensive bipartisan bills and signed two discharge petitions this Congress to ban Members of Congress, their spouses, and dependent children from trading or owning individual stocks.
