Step by step guide

Let’s get you started with eCRBA

1. Create a MyTravelGov account or sign-in to your existing account.
   MyTravelGov is a secured, encrypted portal that you can use to start an eCRBA application or access an existing eCRBA application.
2. Complete your eCRBA application.
   Scan and upload documents as you go. You may find a list of the necessary documents by reviewing this checklist.
   Do NOT upload the documents proving your physical presence in the U.S. Do NOT pay at this point.
3. Send an email to acs_sofia@state.gov with your child’s name in the subject line to request a review of the application. We will check whether the application is complete and then you can proceed with the payment.
4. Pay the eCRBA fee ($100). (Click here)
5. Send an email to acs_sofia@state.gov no sooner than 3 days after you pay to ask for an appointment with your child’s name in the subject line.
6. Attend your scheduled in-person interview with your child and the original documents of all documents uploaded in the system. You must provide English translations for all foreign language documents. Bring documentary evidence of your physical presence in the U.S. Original documents will be returned to you after reviewing your application. Generally, both parents also attend the interview.
