OurCounty Plan
2025 OURCOUNTY PLAN
Originally adopted by the Board of Supervisors in August 2019, the OurCounty Sustainability Plan puts forth a bold, inclusive, and regional vision for the future of LA County. On November 4, 2025, the Board adopted an update to the plan that further elevates the County's ambitious agenda and advances sustainability efforts region wide. (See Board Motion).
The 2025 OurCounty plan provides a guide to County departments, cities, and partners to improve the well-being of communities, reduce damage to the natural environment, and adapt to a changing climate. It centers the co-equal values of environment, equity, and economy, while elevating climate resilience and cross-departmental coordination to meet the challenges of the future ahead.

Priorities And Progress
Each year, the Chief Sustainability Office and County departments work with partners and stakeholders to turn the collective vision of OurCounty into a reality. Implementation of the plan is a long-term commitment, with some of the goals and targets reaching 20 years into the future. To ensure near-term progress and accountability, OurCounty action priorities are identified and reported on annually in the fall.
The Draft 2026 OurCounty Annual Report is now available for review and public comment. In it, you’ll find updates on the progress we’ve made in 2025-2026 and the recommended priorities for 2026-2027.
