Urgent/alternative Notary Options:
Remote Online Notarization (RON) : allows the signer to appear before U.S.-based notary using audiovisual technology over the internet (webcam 
notarization). U.S. notaries are authorized to perform RON in 47 states.
Please note that you may not use remote online notarization for marriage affidavits or for authenticating the MFA signatures on Egyptian certificates, these must be done at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.

Signature verification services for grant deeds, warranty deeds, bill of sales, closing affidavits, bank forms, assignment of lease, powers of attorney, or disbursement instructions.
U.S. citizens planning to marry in Egypt must schedule a notary appointment at the embassy to notarize a Marriage Affidavit (sometimes called a “No Objection to Marriage” letter). This document is required by Egyptian authorities for non-Egyptians marrying in Egypt, not by the U.S. Embassy. The U.S. Embassy in Cairo cannot authenticate U.S. documents. We can only certify the seals and signatures of the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Egypt.
To authenticate U.S. documents:
1. Submit the documents to an Egyptian Consulate or Embassy in the United States.
2. After U.S. authentication, submit it to any Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) authenticating office in Egypt.
The document is then considered authenticated. E.g. death, marriage certificate, divorce certificate, etc…
U.S. Academic credentials: may be accredited by AMIDEAST in Cairo.
The U.S. Departments of State and Education determined in 1983 that there is no statutory requirement for U.S. consuls to authenticate translations of foreign academic credentials. The U.S. Department of Education and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers agree that authentication in no way alleviates the problem of fraud as the information contained in the document is not confirmed, only the seal and signature are authenticated.
