SAM Registration Requirement
The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) under clause # 52.204-7 requires all contractors to be registered in the System for Award Management “SAM” database. Registration in SAM is mandatory prior to signing any contract with the U.S. Government that exceeds $30,000. If you are interested in doing business with the U.S. Government, we suggest that you start the registration process ASAP as this is a time consuming process. If a contractor wins a bid and does not become registered in the SAM database in the time prescribed by the Contracting Officer, the Contracting Officer will proceed to award to the next successful registered contractor. Registration is free!
