DV 2026
Entry Status Check and Interviews for DV-2026:
- DV-2026 Entrants have until September 30, 2026, to check the status of their entry on https://dvprogram.state.gov/.
- DV-2026 interviews are scheduled after October 1, 2025. Please watch for announcements regarding interview scheduling.

Notice Regarding Status Check for DV-2026:
- DV-2026 Entrants may check the status of their entry on https://dvprogram.state.gov/ starting at noon (EDT) on May 3, 2025. The DV-2026 registration period was from October 2, 2024, until November 7, 2024.
FRAUD ALERT:
- Any website that does not end in state.gov is not a valid website for registering your Diversity Visa Program entry. Many websites are made to appear to be valid but are used to steal your personal data and enter your registration.
- All DV entries must be made online through the Department’s Electronic Diversity Visa (EDV) website regardless of whether a facilitator assists an individual with the process.
Successful entrants are not notified by email of the status of their E-DV online entry. Any email claiming to notify entrants they have been selected for the DV program is not legitimate. Entrants can only access information on their application through the online Entrant Status Check at https//dvprogram.state.gov.
The Interview
After you have completed the steps on the Diversity Visa Process on usvisas.state.gov, including submitting the required immigrant visa application form (DS-260), you may receive an email from the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) to let you know that an interview has been scheduled for you. The e-mail will instruct you to log into the Entrant Status Check on the Electronic Diversity Visa (EDV) website, using your DV entry confirmation number, to view the date, time and location of your interview. After the Interview
At the end of your immigrant visa interview, the consular officer will inform you whether your visa application is approved or denied.
Some visa applications require further administrative processing a which takes additional time after the visa applicant’s interview by a consular officer. Applicants are advised of this requirement when they apply. Most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of the visa interview. When administrative processing is required, the timing will vary based on the individual circumstances of each case. You can check the status of your visa application on ceac.state.gov
