Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation 10998 on Restricting and Limiting the Entry of Foreign Nationals to Protect the Security of the United States, which takes effect at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on January 1, 2026, the United States is suspending or limiting entry and visa issuance to nationals of 39 countries as well as individuals applying using travel documents issued or endorsed by the Palestinian Authority. Applicants who are subject to Presidential Proclamation 10998 may still submit visa applications and attend scheduled interviews, but they may be ineligible for visa issuance or admission to the United States. MALAYSIA CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT- POLICE CERTIFICATE Malaysian citizens, residents, and foreigners who have previously resided in Malaysia (for at least 6 months) may apply for the Certificate of Good Conduct from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). All applications for the Certificate of Good Conduct must be submitted online through the MFA e-Konsular system. The site also has useful guidelines with detailed instructions. Processing time for the certificate is between 30 to 90 days from the date of submission.
A Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR) of the United States is required to present a valid Form I-551, Permanent Resident Card (Green Card), if seeking readmission to the U.S. after a temporary absence of less than one year.
