Each committee member will serve an initial term of one (1) year. Any person reappointed to a second or subsequent term shall serve a two (2) or three (3) year term at the County Commissioners’ discretion to ensure staggered terms of office. No appointee or immediate family member may have a financial interest in a home served by the committee. At least one member should be involved in the area of Mental Retardation. Generally meets quarterly.

To be an advocate for the rights of citizens residing in Adult Care Homes (homes for the aged, family care, and developmentally disabled adults) in Rowan County.
