Description
The Board of Commissioners and the State of North Carolina each appoint two members with the Board of Social Services appointing the fifth. Appointees are given three-year terms and must possess an understanding of State and Federal regulations concerning Social Services Programs and County responsibilities. Generally meets monthly.
Purpose
To establish county policies for the programs established by General Statute in conformity with the rules and regulations of the Social Services Commission and under the supervision of the Department of Human Resources.
