Description
Three members and one alternate are appointed for two-year terms by the Board of County Commissioners. The committee must be comprised of more than 50% older persons, representatives of older persons, local elected officials and the general public. Generally meets quarterly.
Purpose
To advise Area Agency on Aging Staff, Rowan County Senior Services and the Board of the Centralina Council of Governments on developing and administering the Region F Area Plan by assisting with the assessment of the needs of older persons and making recommendations of the allocation of resources among subcontractors in Region F.
