The winners are selected through a randomized computer drawing, for entrants from countries with low immigration rates to the United States within the last 5 years, including Paraguay. The Diversity Visa Program registration period runs from 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday,\u00a0<strong>October 4, 2023<\/strong>, through Tuesday,\u00a0<strong>November 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. (local time)<\/strong>. The registration must be done electronically through the official website\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dvprogram.state.gov\/\">https:\/\/dvprogram.state.gov<\/a>\u00a0during the registration period.<\/p>\n<p>We encourage DV program entrants to apply early, since extremely heavy demand in the final days of the registration period may prevent some individuals from submitting entries. Entries received after the registration period deadline, 2:00 p.m. on November 7, 2023, will not be accepted.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><em>T<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>here is no cost to register for the DV Program<\/em><\/strong><strong><em>.<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>In order for entrants to qualify they must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be individuals born in countries whose natives qualify.<\/li>\n<li>At least have a high school education or its equivalent (bachillerato in Spanish) or two years of work experience (within the past five years) in an occupation that requires at least two years of training or experience to perform (as stated by the U.S. Department of Labor\u2019s O*Net Online database).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It\u2019s very important to\u00a0<strong>read the DV Program instructions carefully<\/strong>\u00a0y follow them\u00a0<strong>thoroughly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Access the\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/content\/visas\/en\/immigrate\/diversity-visa\/instructions.html\"><em>DV Program 2025 Instructions<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Registrants my verify the status of their submission and\u00a0<strong>check if they were selected<\/strong>\u00a0in the program or not, as of\u00a0<strong>May 4, 2024<\/strong>, by visiting\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/dvprogram.state.gov.\/\">http:\/\/dvprogram.state.gov.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><em>Attention \/ Fraud Alert<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><em>Fraudulent internet sites pretend to be U.S. government official websites. Some of these fraudulent sites, have asked for money in order to complete the Diversity Visa Program forms.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>This is why it\u2019s very important to be aware of the fact that there is no cost to register for the DV Program.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>In order to prevent fraud, we clarify that the only way in which you may register is through this website:\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/dvprogram.state.gov\/\"><em>https:\/\/dvprogram.state.gov\/<\/em><\/a><em>. It\u2019s important to take into account that notifications will only be made through each applicant\u2019s official account. Any notification received via email, telephone, etc., isn\u2019t official and isn\u2019t valid.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We urge applicants to avoid \u201cvisa consultants\u201d who charge a fee, stating that, with their assistance, applicants may have more chances of being selected in the program.
