Joint Statement on Sudan: Political Track

Following successful consultations led by the Quintet with Sudanese political stakeholders, the U.S. is proud to join 12 partner countries and organizations in endorsing a joint statement on Sudan’s political process.
An inclusive, civilian-led political process remains essential to achieving lasting peace and stability in Sudan. The U.S. strongly supports the Quintet’s efforts to advance dialogue, build consensus, and help lay the foundation for a broader democratic transition.
