Purpose

The Cabinet Committee on State Planning Issues (Cabinet Committee) formed the Data Analysis Workgroup (Workgroup) to compile data and conduct analysis of statewide land use, demographic, and infrastructure trends. In the past engagement between the State and local governments related to State Strategies occurred on a 5-year cycle. The Workgroup will facilitate more frequent and targeted discussions between the State and local government planning, policy officials, and other stakeholders that will help to inform and shape the Strategies for State Policies and Spending Update Process.

In addition to ongoing communication and information sharing among state agencies, local governments, and other stakeholders, the Workgroup will regularly host detailed and comprehensive discussions in each county about specific planning related data. The Cabinet Committee will use the information discussed and collected during workshops to inform interagency work plans and priorities, as well as agency specific plans.
