Meghan Gregonis, a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, class Minister Counselor, is the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.
She brings extensive experience advancing U.S. interests abroad and at home — pursuing commercial deals, building security partnerships that deliver results, and championing American innovation and competitiveness.
Most recently, Meghan served as Deputy Director for Leadership and Workforce Training at the National Foreign Affairs Training Center where she modernized training programs for U.S. diplomats. She previously served as U.S. Consul General in Dubai (2021 – 2024) and U.S. Consul General in Munich, Germany (2018 – 2021). Earlier overseas assignments include Islamabad, Riyadh, Rome, Baghdad, and Jerusalem. Additional Washington experience includes the Bureaus of European and Eurasian Affairs and Near Eastern Affairs, in addition to the National Security Council at the White House.
Meghan is a distinguished graduate of the National War College and an alumna of New York University. Originally from Philadelphia and a former competitive runner and cyclist, she is married.
