Transportation Engineering Training Program

Program Overview

CDOT’s Transportation Engineering Training Program (TETP) hosts roadway design and construction training for CDOT engineering staff, consultant partners, contractors and local agency personnel. TETP courses emphasize CDOT-specific processes and procedures and are available in a variety of learning formats:

  • Self-paced online e-learning
  • In-person instructor-led training
  • Online instructor-led training
  • Technical video training

All TETP training can be accessed through CDOT's learning management system, the State of Colorado (SOC) Learns Training Portal.

Instructor-led Training

TETP's 2027 Fiscal Year Instructor-Led Training Schedule for External Partners is now available and courses are open for enrollment in SOC Learns!

  • Use the table of contents to find courses relevant to your role.
  • Review the course description, delivery details, cost, and target audience.
  • Click the registration links to enroll via SOC Learns.

Need a SOC Learns account?
Visit the Access the Learning Management System web page to request an account. Accounts are typically approved within two business days. Having an active SOC Learns account allows you to enroll in instructor-led training, access free self-paced e-learnings, and receive emails as more training becomes available.

    Self-paced E-learnings

    TETP offers over 30 free self-paced e-learning courses to external partners through SOC Learns. TETP e-learnings cover a wide range of preconstruction and construction topics. 

    After completing an e-learning, you can:

    • Revisit it anytime through your transcript.
    • Jump directly to specific topics through the course outline.
    • Bookmark course resources you use frequently.
