Board of Elections
The Board of Elections consists of five members that are appointed every two years. Two Democrats, two Republicans, and a Chair (that is appointed by the State Auditor) have legal and moral responsibility for protecting the will of the people and establishing fairness and equity for all in the process of self governance. This department is the first step in providing efficient, fair, and open elections and has the overall responsibility for the administration of voter registration, the electoral process, and campaign finance disclosure.
Board Meetings
Regular monthly meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 2 pm in the Board of Elections Training Room in the Craven County Government Administration building located at 406 Craven Street in New Bern.

A valid photo identification is required when voting in person.

Election Day Polls open at 6:30 am and close at 7:30 pm.
You must vote at your assigned precinct on election day, based on your residential address, to receive your correct ballot.
