ReadyDetect: Blood Sampling Competition

Concept Stage

$5 million competition to advance next-generation capillary blood self-collection and processing devices for point-of-need diagnostics. ReadyDetect seeks solutions for sample collection that can support diagnostic testing across BARDA priority pathogens and enable low-cost, scalable, CLIA-waivable use in both pediatric and adult populations. Apply by August 7, 2026.

$80+M Single Shield Prize Competition for Vaccine Innovation

The Single Shield Prize, administered by Luminary Labs, is an $80+ million, multi-stage competition to advance single-administration vaccine platforms for pandemic influenza A(H5N1). The competition seeks innovative solutions that enable development of recombinant hemagglutinin protein or inactivated virus vaccines that provide protection in a single visit. Apply by January 15, 2027.
