Federal Court Approves Historic PFAS Settlements Valued at Approximately $2.5 Billion

Attorney General Jennifer Davenport and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Acting Commissioner Ed Potosnak announced judicial approval of two groundbreaking settlements to remedy long-standing statewide contamination from PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), also known as “forever chemicals,” as well as PFAS and other pollutants originating from four significant industrial sites.
