Another hot summer day is in store across Deep South Texas, with triple-digit heat indices expected by mid to late morning through the early evening hours. Remember to practice heat safety to prevent heat-related illnesses!

Triple-digit temperatures and heat indices continue through the first week of August across Deep South Texas. Expect mild nights, which will provide little relief from the daytime heat. Low rain/storm chances return by Thursday as the sea breeze becomes more active.

There is a moderate of rip currents and an Extreme UV Index with abundant sunshine. Remember to swim near a lifeguard and re-apply sunblock often!

Here are some tips on potential beach hazards. Heat, rip currents/dangerous waves, and isolated showers/storms are the main concerns this week and weekend. Stay weather aware!
