Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and storms developing along and ahead of the east coast sea breeze this afternoon and evening. Greatest coverage of this activity will be focused inland, west of I-95. Isolated strong storms will produce strong wind gusts to 40-50 mph, frequent lightning and locally heavy rainfall of 2-4". Seasonably hot and humid conditions forecast, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and peak heat index values reaching 100-105F.
