Showers and Storms continue across the East; Heat, Critical Fire Weather, Drought, and Poor Air Quality continues in the West

A series of fronts will focus locally heavy showers and storms across portions of the central and eastern U.S. through the end of the workweek. Dangerous to extreme heat continues across the Southwest U.S., eventually spreading eastward over the weekend into early next week. ⚠️Heat Advisory in effect from 10 AM to 10 PM Tuesday for the interior East Bay Hills and Valleys and Santa Clara Valley and Eastern Hills with high temperatures in the 90s to low 100s. Moderate HeatRisk is expected across much of the interior today. Stay hydrated, limit time outdoors during peak heating, do not leave children or pets unattended in vehicles. #CAwx
Elevated fire weather concerns are expected across the interior this week due to near critically dry conditions and above normal temperatures. The driest conditions will be observed across the interior Central Coast and across the higher terrain.
