More on Environment
Today, Congresswoman Janelle Bynum (OR-05) released a statement in response to multiple wildfires that are burning in Central Oregon and across the state. Specifically, the Akawa Butte Fire has grown to more than 26,000 acres, resulting in the loss of the first home in her district this season and continues to threaten lives, homes, and businesses.
Climate change poses an existential threat to our environment, economy, and way of life. Congresswoman Bynum is committed to supporting science-based policies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, invest in clean energy, and build infrastructure to withstand the increasing frequency of natural disasters. And she is focused on ensuring that good clean energy jobs come to our district as a result.
