Posted March 10, 2026: California's Clean Truck Check program requirements are in effect for subject vehicles, including vehicles registered outside of California when operating in the state to report, pay an annual compliance fee, and submit required passing emissions tests.

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is the primary state agency responsible for actions to protect public health from the harmful effects of air pollution and Clean Truck Check is a critical component of this mission.
