Appointments & Locations

All in-person passport (full-validity), Consular Report of Birth Abroad, and notary appointments are by online appointment only.  No consular appointments are made by phone or email.

It is free to make an appointment – third-party services to make appointments are not required or recommended.

For limited-validity, emergency passports for those who have immediate travel to the United States, we accept walk-ins (no appointment necessary) in both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv before 8:30AM (Monday through Friday, except for U.S. and local holidays).

Some services are available through the mail or via drop-box; please see below for more details.

A passport or CRBA applicant may be accompanied by a private attorney, interpreter, or other third party of their own choice at their own expense, to provide assistance.

Double booking: Booking duplicate appointments in one location or in both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem will result in the immediate cancellation of all appointments.

Make appointments for all passport services and Consular Report of Birth Abroad services.  You will need to create a profile to log on to the appointment page at ustraveldocs.com.  Once you are logged on, you can choose an appointment time in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv and select your preferred delivery or pick up option.

  • After clicking start and acknowledging the policy review statement, Select “Israel_West Bank_and_Gaza” from the country dropdown menu.
  • On the next screen, you will click the “Israel_West Bank_and_Gaza” box whether you are applying in Jerusalem or Tel Aviv.
  • On the next screen, you will select the service and location: Jerusalem passport renewal, Tel Aviv passport renewal, Jerusalem first-time applicants (this includes CRBAs), or Tel Aviv first-time applicants (this includes CRBAs).s.
  • For CRBA appointments, you MUST submit your application for an eCRBA at least five days before your scheduled appointment.  To apply for a CRBA online, you need to create a MyTravelGov  account. Learn more about eCRBAs.  After your CRBA application is submitted and the fee is paid, you can schedule an appointment on the appointment page at ustraveldocs.com.
  • Schedule an appointment for each passport or CRBA application you are bringing. For example, a family of four renewing each person’s passport must make four appointments.  You are allowed to schedule family members on the appointment page under your profile.
  • Before your visit, read through the list of prohibited items to prepare for our security screening and simplify your entry into the Embassy.
  • Please be on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, you will be asked to reschedule for another day.
  • Cancel or reschedule your appointment yourself online. You will need to log in to your profile at the appointment page to do so.

Emergency Appointments for Immediate Travel

If you are unable to find any available appointments and you have immediate travel, walk-in appointments are available before 8:30AM in both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.  You will only receive an emergency, limited-validity passport (not a full-validity passport).

However, you cannot use the walk-in emergency appointments if you can use form DS-82 (application by mail) or DS-5504 (replacement for a limited emergency passport) as those can be renewed by mail or via the drop box.   If you are traveling urgently, please write “emergency” and “urgent travel” on the envelope when you mail it or drop it off.

We do not accept emergency appointment requests by email or by telephone.
