Would you like to know more about culture, society and daily life in the United States? We have the perfect opportunity for you!
Thanks to the U.S. Mission Speaker Program, students from high schools, universities, research centers, and other Italian institutions will have the chance to engage with U.S. Mission officers in Italy, including diplomats and their family members, Americans on U.S. government exchange programs and other American experts, for an interactive dialogue on various aspects of daily life in America.
The proposed topics include:
- The American political and electoral systems.
- Key annual American observances and festivities.
- Topics such as transatlantic relations, economic sustainability, cybersecurity, the American educational system, film, music, sports, and much more.
The sessions will primarily take place in person, but virtual sessions are also available. The program is free of charge to participating schools and universities. Lessons take place in English, from Monday to Friday, in the morning or early afternoon and can last approximately 60-90 minutes. During the sessions, students will have the opportunity to interact directly with the speakers by asking questions and participating in discussion.
Please note that the participation of speakers is based on availability and scheduling. We require at least one month of lead time to accommodate speaking requests.
