Washington (July 28, 2026) - Senator Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), top Democrat on the Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Subcommittee on Primary Health and Retirement Security, and Representative Ro Khanna (CA-17) today reintroduced the Green New Deal for Health, legislation that will equip our country’s healthcare system to respond to the growing impacts of climate change and ensure all Americans have access to care in their communities.

Washington, DC – Today, Representatives Ro Khanna (CA-17) and Anna Paulina Luna (FL-13) introduced the No Campaign Funded Cover-Ups Act to prohibit candidates for federal office and federal officeholders from using campaign contributions or legal expense funds to cover costs related to sexual assault, sexual abuse, or sexual harassment claims. By requiring more detailed reporting of campaign-related legal expenses, the bill will also give the public greater transparency into how political funds are being used.

Washington, DC — Today, Representative Ro Khanna reintroduced the Gasoline Export Ban Act of 2026 to prohibit the exportation of gasoline during periods of high gasoline prices. The export ban begins when the average price for gasoline in the United States has been equal to or higher than $3.12 per gallon for seven consecutive days and would lower costs at the pump for struggling Americans.

Amid historic jumps in gas prices triggered by the US-Israeli war on Iran, the California congressman Ro Khanna is to introduce legislation on Tuesday that would ban the export of gasoline during price spikes.

“The country is crying out for a new energy policy,” said Khanna in an interview with the Guardian, “that doesn’t have us subject to the whims of the profits of big oil companies.”

“How can you be in office when you are threatening to wipe out a civilization? How can you be in office when you’re threatening genocide that goes against every value Americans have,” Khanna asked. “How can you be in office when you’ve engaged in so much corruption?”
