What I Do
- Head of Library Development
- Manage operations for the Library Development unit, which provides professional development, funding, and projects to help local libraries deliver better services to their communities.
- Develop programs for statewide services.
- Administer/manage the State Library and Federal LSTA grant programs.
- Coordinate statewide library training and development initiatives.
- Provide statewide consulting services for libraries of all kinds.
- Represent State Library in state and national capacities (AHEN, AkLA, ALN, COSLA, GACL).
- Public Library Coordinator
- Provide consulting services on the establishment and administration of public libraries.
- Promote staff development and continuing education.
- Inform libraries of new resources and training opportunities.
- Develop online reference resources for public librarians.
