The visit highlighted the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) ongoing efforts to improve access to healthcare, modernize facilities, streamline benefits, and ensure American veterans receive the care and services they have earned through their service.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Laurel Lee (R-FL-15) introduced the bipartisan Stealth Bot Prohibition Act, legislation to establish transparency standards for automated web crawlers and crack down on deceptive bots that conceal their identity while scraping online content. Representatives Valerie Foushee (D-NC-04) and Gus Bilirakis (R-FL-09) joined Rep. Lee as original co-leads of the legislation.

The package includes two bipartisan bills led by Congresswoman Laurel Lee (FL-15): the Promoting a Safer Internet for Minors Act and the Children and Teens' Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 2.0).

Washington, D.C. — Congresswoman Laurel Lee (FL-15) today introduced the Federal Diversity Jurisdiction Modernization Act, legislation to modernize federal court jurisdiction by raising the amount-in-controversy threshold for diversity cases from $75,000 to $500,000.

This reform is designed to alleviate growing caseload pressures in federal courts, ensure the timely resolution of cases, and restore the proper balance between federal and state judicial responsibilities.
