The Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Riga is available to assist U.S. citizens with an emergency during working hours from Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., except for public holidays. After hours emergencies are handled by the еmbassy duty officer.

Situations such as the arrest, serious illness, injury, destitution, or death of a U.S. citizen constitute emergencies.

Embassy Riga

The U.S. Embassy is located across from the shopping mall SPICE between Kalnciema and Lielirbes street. Entrance to the Consular Section is on S.Velsa street.

PARKING AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Customers choosing to drive to the embassy should note that there is NO designated parking available for the Consular Section visitors.

City buses Nr. 53, 22, 32, and 43 have stops within a walking distance from the embassy.
