High school marching bands across North Carolina’s Eighth District have the opportunity to be considered for the 2027 National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C.
My office can nominate a number of high school marching bands from the district for consideration to represent North Carolina as our nation celebrates its 251st birthday on July 4, 2027. Nominated bands will then be considered by the parade’s National Selection Committee and may be asked to submit a video recording, photos, and information about their experience and accomplishments.
When it comes to severe weather, preparation is essential. Hurricane season runs annually from June 1 through November 30, and it is important for North Carolina families to stay informed, prepared, and ready to act in the event of an emergency.
