Through the NTC, the Office of Enterprise Assessments (EA) performs the mission-critical support function of developing, maintaining, and delivering standardized health, safety, safeguards, security, and protective force training for DOE Federal and contractor employees. The mission of the NTC, as a direct report organizational element of EA, is to provide and facilitate quality training for Federal and contractor personnel in support of DOE’s mission.
Live Fire Range (LFR)
The LFR is situated on Kirtland Air Force Base, adjacent to Albuquerque, New Mexico. The LFR occupies 698 acres, most of which is unimproved hilly land used as the surface danger zone behind the several live fire ranges that comprise the facility.
Reserve a Classroom
Non-NTC users can request the use of available classrooms or meeting spaces after filling out a Temporary Use Agreement (TUA) between the NTC and your organization. A template of the TUA can be obtained by calling the NTC's point of contact at (505) 845-2105 or (505) 845-2213.
How do I get to the NTC?
As a general rule, visitors without access to KAFB must be sponsored by an individual affiliated with KAFB to enter the base. If you are visiting the NTC without base access, you are responsible for initiating your sponsorship and obtaining a visitor’s pass.
