Senate Bill 239 would add local election and other local officials to the list of public officials with added protections against criminal threats, strengthening public safety and confidence in the democratic process.

SB 948 – Firearm Certification and Training
Senate Bill 948 would require a person who moves into the state and transports a firearm to obtain a firearm safety certificate, as currently required for California gun owners. It will also require starting in July 2028 completing an 4-hour training course in order to obtain a certificate.

SB 1041 - Fire Hardening Act of 2026
Senate Bill 1041 would expand the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program, which allows homeowners to pay for major household improvements through a voluntary assessment attached to their property, to include fire hardening projects to protect homes from wildfires.
