Scheduling ACS Appointments

To schedule an appointment for consular services such as Passport, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, or a Notarial Service, please visit our appointment website. If you need an appointment for an earlier date, please use our ACS Navigator.

Overview

The American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit of the Embassy’s Consular Section provides both routine and emergency services to American citizens in Slovakia.

Normal hours of operations are: Monday – Friday 8.00 – 11.45 AM and 2.00 – 3.15 PM. The Embassy is closed on U.S. and Slovak official holidays.

For U.S. citizens with an emergency after hours, please call +421-2-5922-3000 and press ‘0’ to request to speak with the duty officer.

Please Note: As of June 30, 2022, Americans cannot travel on an expired passport to return to the United States.  To renew your passport, please schedule an appointment.

Please contact us at ACS Navigator if you have any questions about accessibility of the Embassy and to let us know if you will need any accessibility accommodations when you visit for your appointment. Please note, Embassy Bratislava is not able to provide sign language interpretation. If you require sign language interpretation, you may bring your own translator who is able to communicate in either Slovak or English.

  • At least one parent having the nationality of the United States at the time of the child’s birth;
