Researchers supporting NASA missions use the NAS Data Portal to share their large, multi-gigabyte datasets with colleagues, citizen scientists, and the wider scientific community, enabling them to more efficiently collaborate and leverage NASA data to promote innovation and scientific discovery. The data portal provides an easy, secure method for making the data, hosted on NAS filesystems, available to the public or to specified collaborators. NAS experts also work closely with research teams to create customized domain portals to share their datasets with specific scientific or engineering communities.

Estimating the Circulation & Climate of the Ocean (ECCO)

The ECCO team shares data generated using advanced ocean circulation models for a variety of oceanographic and geophysical studies.

Mars Climate Modeling Center

Mars researchers share simulation datasets generated by global climate models—developed for Earth and adapted for the Martian atmosphere.

Earth Science

The GeoNEX team shares data collected by geostationary satellites that continuously monitor Earth using advanced sensors that provide observational data as frequently as every 30 seconds.
