Trade Event Partnerships (TEP) brings together the programs formerly known as the Trade Event Partnership Program (TEPP) and the Trade Events Menu of Services (TEMS) under one name and one application process. Through TEP, organizers may request either individual event services or a more comprehensive package of support. Both pathways are part of Trade Event Partnerships. The updated TEP framework simplifies the previous TEPP/TEMS structure while keeping the current pricing approach unchanged.
Support is flexible. You can choose from our services or a full package.
- TEP Event Services. A partnership arrangement where you pick only what you need. We shape ITA support around your event. Final support depends on eligibility, timing, our resources, and mutual agreement. Event services are announced throughout the year.
- TEP Package Support. A partnership arrangement where several services are bundled along with a formal plan and agreement. It works best when ITA and the organizer share the same export goals. Twice a year — generally in late spring and fall — we announce partnership package selections.
ITA accepts TEP applications on a rolling basis. TEP Package Support agreements are made during two selection periods each year. TEP Event Services agreements are made throughout the year.
If your event is not selected for a full package, you may still qualify for individual Trade Event Services, allowing you to tailor support to your event’s goals and budget.

Services vary by event, timing, and what ITA can support. They may include:

- Export counseling for U.S. exhibitors
- Foreign buyer recruitment, by market or worldwide
- Business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking
- Overseas market counseling
- Promotional webinars and market briefings
- Market or industry briefings at your event
- Networking reception support
- Other trade event services we agree on
What we can offer depends on your event’s timing and the market or sector it serves.
We review each application for eligibility, fit, timing, our resources, and the value to U.S. exporters. We announce selected shows under the Packaged Services option twice annually, typically in late May and late October If your event is not selected for a package in the coming year, you may still qualify for single services.
Once we receive your application, we may reach out to talk more about your event, the services you want, and your timing. We will then determine the support we can provide.
- Approved for a package? ITA and the organizer sign a formal agreement. It spells out the obligations of both parties.
- Approved for single services? ITA and the organizer confirm the services through our standard agreement and payment process.
What you pay depends on the support you request and the services we agree on.
