Dangerous heat continues into this week as above normal temperatures are expected. Extreme Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories have been extended through Sunday, use precautions to stay safe during extreme heat.

Oppressive heat remains in place over the region today, with widespread triple-digit highs once again. Monsoonal moisture has started creeping back into the area, with a slight chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, mainly over northwestern Arizona. Given how dry it is, gusty winds and lightning are the main concerns, along with blowing dust.
