Background

The Trump Administration is abusing ICE and other law enforcement to deport thousands of Americans for no reason other than to stoke fear and create divisions. Congressman Bell has been clear: ICE needs to be abolished and defunded, and the Trump Administration must be held accountable. 

Our immigration system is far from perfect, but that does not mean unidentified law enforcement officers can roam and stoke fear for communities who contribute so much. As long as the Administration is creating fear and chaos, Congressman Bell will always fight for all and ensure no one is intimidated by law enforcement. 

Legislative Actions

• Introduced the No ICE Ads Act to prohibit taxpayer-funded partisan, ICE promotional advertising. 
• Cosponsored legislation to ensure law enforcement cannot roam around cities unidentified and masked.
• Cosponsored legislation to rollback the $70 billion ICE slush fund created as part of Trump's “One Big Beautiful Bill.”  
• Member of the Congressional Haiti Caucus, pushing back on the administration’s attempt to strip Temporary Protective Status (TPS) for Haitians and all other communities.
