Payment Options
Pay.gov (passport renewals and eCRBA applicants only): Passport applicants in Hong Kong or Macau who are renewing their passports may pay online through the U.S. government’s secure payment site, Pay.gov, using the online form for DS-82 or DS-11. Please select Hong Kong from the drop-down menu, not China. Online payments may be made by U.S. or international credit or debit card, electronic funds transfer from a U.S.-based bank account, Amazon Pay, or PayPal. After submitting payment, print the payment receipt and include it in your renewal packet.
eCRBA applicants may also pay online through Pay.gov, the U.S. government’s official payment site.
Paying through Pay.gov will ensure quicker processing during your in-person appointment. However, you may still choose to pay fees in person by credit/debit card or cash.
Credit/Debit Card: We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and Diners Club. All credit card transactions are processed in U.S. dollars, as if the transaction occurred in the United States.
Cash: We accept U.S. dollars and Hong Kong dollars.
- Hong Kong currency: We cannot accept HKD banknotes in denominations larger than 500 (i.e., we do not accept 1,000 HKD notes or greater).
- U.S. currency: We regret that we can no longer accept U.S. $100 banknotes from the 1990 series or the 1914–1990 series.
