Supercomputing Facility at NAS

NASA’s premier supercomputing facility, located at NASA’s Ames Research Center in California's Silicon Valley, began operation in 1987 and has evolved over the decades to what is now known as the NASA Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) Division.

The NAS Division is responsible for procuring, maintaining, and operating supercomputing and associated facilities and user services. NAS provides the more than 1,500 NASA associated users of the facilities with advanced computing technologies, mass storage systems, networking, and innovative tools and technologies for solving today's science and engineering problems.
