New York’s High Speed Intercity Passenger Rail Projects and Initiatives

High Speed Intercity Passenger Rail (HSIPR) transportation is critical to New York State’s economic future and environmental sustainability. The New York State Department of Transportation is progressing projects and seeking federal funds to improve intercity passenger rail service on the Northeast Corridor (NEC), and Empire and Adirondack Corridors, while strengthening the freight rail system.
