Who needs a highway work permit?

Business developers, utility companies, municipalities, residents, and others desiring to conduct any activity within the state highway right of way. Anyone who plans to do work on any part of the state highway system, its properties or right of way, must obtain a permit. Contact NYSDOT for more information on what type of permit you will need.
