The Board’s Scope
The following items fall within our scope:
Advise on policies for use of equipment, programming procedures, and maintenance/repair (communications infrastructure)
Advise on training policies around communication safety needs
Advise on general dispatch procedures
Initiate discussion of tech advancements
Be aware of state 911 standards/requirement to implement (discuss radio infrastructure requirements and needs)

Members: Emergency Services Chief, Salisbury Police Chief, City Telecommunications Manager, Sheriff, Municipal Police Rep, Salisbury Fire Chief, 911 Division Chief, Rowan County Fire Association Representative
Ex Officio Members: SHP Representative, County Manager, Salisbury City Manager, County IT Representative, City IT Representative
One voting member will serve as the Board Chair
The Chair serves a one-year term and rotates between the voting members in the above order
