The National Data Buoy Center, or NDBC, is a portal that houses datasets concerning buoys and coastal stations to help predict atmosphere, ocean, waves, ice, and climate information. NDBC is part of NOAA's National Weather Service (NWS).

There are several ways to search for data on NDBC, depending on what information you're looking for.
On the homepage. under the OBSERVATIONS tab, you can find TAO Data, Ship Obs Report, and BuoyCAMs. The INFORMATION tab has TAO Program Info, DART Program Info, Station Status, and Publications. The NEWS tab provides NDBC-related news.
On the homepage you will find the station ID search, which allows you to search for a station using its 5-digit ID. You can also peruse the station list. Each station profile provides information such as owner, location, elevations, conditions, information on air and waves, and temperatures. You can also search for stations by simply clicking on the map.
The link to the observation search can be found at the bottom on the homepage. This is where you can view ship, buoy, and C-MAN observations for a specific area. Simply choose an observation and time from the drop-down menu, then click on the area of the map you would like to search. If you would like to search longitude and latitude, you can also do a radial search, found at the bottom of the page. Screenshot of the page and instructions are found below.
The historical observation search, or historical data search, can also be found as a link at the bottom of the home page. This search is used for prior year data.
