Data.gov is a U.S. government website that provides datasets generated by the Executive Branch of the federal government. Data topics include, but are not limited to, climate, agriculture, energy, and GIS data.  

There are several ways to find data in Data.gov:

• Clicking on icons to view most viewed datasets, recently added datasets, datasets by organization, and geospatial datasets
• Using the search box

Data.gov has an extensive User Guide that provides a thorough walkthrough on how to search for datasets in their catalog, as well as a summary about understanding their dataset pages. 

You can find the user guide in the top right corner of Data.gov's homepage, displayed above. 

You can email datagov@gsa.gov for any questions about data or media. 

You can use their form for any comments and suggestions you may have to improve the site. 

There is a separate form for questions about their API or to report any problems with it.
